GOLDA Gang,
We’re bringing GOLDA Mahjong to the Hamptons this summer. Join us July 13 for an afternoon of open play at Magic Montauk, SoulCycle co-founder Elizabeth Cutler’s new wellness space. We’re also hosting Mini Mahj at ColorPop Workshop’s Southampton studio on August 18 (an event that was mentioned in this article about mahjong’s popularity among kids!). And don’t forget to sign up for our next NYC open play evening July 15 in Flatiron; the location will be revealed the week before.
Today on our podcast GOLDA Girls we’re diving into summer with special guest Molly Yeh. The Food Network star and Sweet Farm cookbook author tells us about her love of Jewish summer camp—and below, she’s sharing her summer must-haves.

My GOLDA sticker is displayed proudly on this cup which I use almost daily for smoothies. It’s the perfect solution for sipping your smoothie leisurely and/or in the car without worrying about it warming up and getting gross. I’ve lately been adding cold brew to my smoothies, which sounded weird at first, but now I can’t get enough of it. This one is on repeat: 140g frozen wild blueberries, 30g avocado, 20g spinach, 16g almond butter, a couple of walnuts, 7g cacao nibs, 120g cold brew, 120g unsweetened almondmilk, and an optional medjool date if I want it sweeter. Sometimes I add holy basil seeds for added calcium and fiber. Ooh I also am obsessed with my micro Hydroflask which fits in my fanny pack.

Life Changing Salads and Healthy Girl Kitchen by Danielle Brown
I’ve written a handful of cookbooks that are mainly pretty hearty foods and baked goods (things I require frequently here in the upper Midwest, where it is subzero temperatures most of the year). But in our short but beautifully sweet summer, I’m all about Danielle’s books. Her recipes are super fresh and easy, they make me feel good, and there are a few fun vegan twists on Jewish classics (like carrot lox!).
Anything About Women’s Health
Other than my fave podcasts, GOLDA Girls and The Runthrough, these days I pretty exclusively take in media centered around women’s health subjects, like cycle syncing and perimenopause. Learning about these have made my life so much better and they’re things I wish I would have learned about sooner (and things I told my husband he better teach the girls if I die before they reach puberty). Alisa Vitti’s In the Flo, the documentary Balance: A Perimenopause Journey, and any podcast with Marie Claire Haver on as a guest is a good starting point.
It’s the easiest, laziest way of looking like I’ve put effort into my makeup routine. I layer it over tinted spf (Supergoop’s Protect(tint)) on my cheeks and also on my lips and then I’m off to conquer the summer with my kids. I should also mention that May Lindstrom skincare has the assist here because with good skincare I feel like I can get away with wearing less makeup.
This bathing suit makes me SO HAPPY and actually has me looking forward to long afternoons spent at the public pool. It’s so fun, flattering, and has a great high rise. You kinda have to be comfortable with some nip because it’s unlined but we’re freeing the nipples these days right?

Thanks to Molly Yeh for coming on GOLDA Girls, and for generally being the best. Here’s the wedding cake she made for me and Ben Cohen almost a decade ago. There were sprinkles, funfetti inside, and a marzipan rendering of our cat.

Stay GOLDA,
Stephanie
